About Fruit Slash
Swipe-to-slice games became a touchscreen favourite in the early 2010s, and the format, similar to Fruit Ninja, is instantly understandable: cut the fruit, leave the bombs. Fruit Slash is this site's own multiplayer version, designed as a fair reflex contest that runs in a browser tab on a phone, tablet or computer.
Fairness comes from the spawn schedule. Every player in the match sees the same fruit and the same bombs launched at the same moments on the same arcs. Each player slices a private copy, so nobody can steal your fruit, and the only difference between scores is how well each person swipes.
Seven fruits appear. Watermelons and apples are worth 5 points, oranges 6, bananas 7, limes and pineapples 8, and the small, rarer strawberry 11. Cutting several fruit in one swipe adds 8 points for each extra fruit, up to six in a single stroke. Every player has three lives, and slicing a third bomb ends your run with the score you have. It is quick, colourful and easy to explain, which makes it a good warm-up game for groups and for younger players.
How to play Fruit Slash
- The goal is to score more points than the other players by the end of the 75 second round.
- Fruit and bombs are thrown up from the bottom of the screen and fall back down under gravity.
- Drag a finger or the mouse across a fruit to slice it and score its points. A plain tap without movement does not cut.
- Slicing two or more fruit in one swipe is a combo, worth 8 bonus points for each extra fruit.
- Slicing a bomb costs 30 points and one of your three lives.
- Lose all three lives and you are out for the rest of the round, keeping the score you had.
- The round ends when the timer runs out or every player is out. The highest score wins.

Fruit Slash tips and strategy
- Wait for fruit to bunch up near the top of their arc. They slow down there, which makes a single swipe through three or four far easier.
- Find the bomb first on every throw. Plan your swipe around it before you move, instead of reacting once your finger is already in motion.
- Use short, straight strokes when a bomb is on screen and long strokes only when the air is clear.
- Go after strawberries. They are small and uncommon, but at 11 points each they are worth more than two watermelons.
- Protect your last life. Being knocked out freezes your score while opponents keep cutting, so with one life left it is fine to let a risky cluster fall.
Fruit Slash FAQ
What happens if I hit a bomb?
You lose 30 points and one life. Each player starts with three lives, so the third bomb ends your run for that round. Your score up to that point still counts in the final ranking.
Do I lose points for missing fruit?
No. Fruit that falls off the screen uncut costs nothing except the points you could have earned. Only bombs carry a penalty, so letting a fruit go is always safer than a swipe that might clip a bomb.
How do combos work in Fruit Slash?
A combo is two or more fruit cut in a single swipe. Each fruit after the first adds 8 bonus points on top of its normal value, and one swipe can cut a maximum of six.
Does everyone get the same fruit?
Yes. All players face an identical schedule of fruit and bombs on the same paths. You each slice a separate copy, so the match is a direct comparison of reflexes and not a scramble for shared targets.
Can I play with a mouse instead of a touch screen?
Yes. Click and drag across the fruit on a computer, or swipe with a finger on a phone or tablet. The slicing rule is the same on both: the stroke has to move through the fruit.
How many players do I need for Fruit Slash?
Fruit Slash supports 1 to 4 players. If a full table of real people isn't ready when you queue, MultiplayerHub fills the empty seats with bots instantly so the match starts without waiting.
Do I need to download anything or sign up to play Fruit Slash?
No. Fruit Slash runs entirely in your browser tab โ no app install, no account, no email required. Pick a name and you're matched within seconds.
Is Fruit Slash really free?
Yes โ Fruit Slash and every other game on MultiplayerHub is free to play, supported by ads rather than a paywall or loot boxes.
Can I play Fruit Slash with a specific friend instead of strangers?
Create a private room from the Fruit Slash page to get a shareable room code, or enter a code a friend already sent you to jump straight into their table.
