Online Games to Play With Friends

Party games for a group call

Sketch party, two truths and a lie, would you rather, category blitz and forbidden words need no explanation and get people talking, which makes them easy picks for a video call or a remote team break. Shadow village is a hidden role game for five to eight players where a few shadows try to stay unnoticed while the village votes.

Card and board games for four

Ludo, crazy eights, spades, hearts, euchre, go fish and poker with play chips are the familiar table games most groups already know. Property trade and whodunit take a little longer and suit an evening rather than a five minute break.

Word and trivia games

Trivia, word hunt, anagram sprint and the five letter word race put everyone on the same puzzle at once, so the fun is in seeing who gets there first. Rounds are short and scores are shown after each one.

How many friends can join one room?

It depends on the game. Card and board games usually seat four to six, most party games seat up to eight, and a few arena games go higher. Each game page shows its player range.

Do my friends need an account?

No. They open the link, type a name and enter the room code. Nothing needs to be installed and no email is asked for.

What are good games for a video call?

Pick games that are quick to explain and have short rounds: sketch party, trivia, two truths and a lie, would you rather and category blitz all work well while people are chatting.
