About Lost Temple
Lost Temple is an original game on this site, so you will not find it under that name elsewhere. It belongs to the block-pushing puzzle genre made famous by warehouse games in the Sokoban style: you walk into a heavy block to slide it one square, and the puzzle is solved when the blocks rest on marked targets. The twist here is that several players share one temple at the same time.
Each temple is a row of three to five chambers separated by stone gates. Every chamber except the last has one or two pressure plates, each with a block waiting in a narrow alcove. Push the blocks onto all the plates and that chamber's gate opens for good, for every player. The last chamber holds the idol. Because blocks can only travel toward their plates, a temple can never be left in an unsolvable state.
That creates an unusual mix of teamwork and rivalry. Any explorer's push counts toward opening a gate, so players speed each other up, but only one can win. The first explorer to touch the idol carries it, and the match ends when they bring it back to the start. A round lasts at most two and a half minutes. It suits players who enjoy light puzzles with a racing finish.
How to play Lost Temple
- Win by picking up the golden idol in the final chamber and carrying it back to the temple entrance.
- Move with WASD or the arrow keys, or with the on-screen pad on a touch screen.
- Walk into a stone block to push it one square forward along its alcove toward a pressure plate.
- When every plate in a chamber is covered, the gate to the next chamber opens and stays open for all players for the whole match.
- A plate stays solved once a block has reached it, so nobody can undo a finished chamber.
- The first explorer to step on the idol's square picks it up and becomes its carrier.
- The carrier wins the moment they reach the entrance square.
- If the 2 minute 30 second timer ends first, the idol carrier nearest the entrance is ranked top. With no carrier, the player who solved the most plates and got furthest wins.

Lost Temple tips and strategy
- Head for the nearest uncovered plate at once. Standing back while others solve a chamber saves no time, because the gate opens for everyone at the same instant.
- In a chamber with two plates, take the one nobody is walking toward. Two players pushing in parallel open a gate in half the time.
- As the last block of a chamber is about to land, wait beside the gate, not beside the block. The player closest to the doorway gets the head start into the next room.
- Count the chambers when the map appears. In the final puzzle chamber, position matters more than pushing, since the idol goes to whoever enters the last room first.
- Once you hold the idol, take the central corridor straight back and ignore everything else. The gates behind you are already open.
Lost Temple FAQ
Is Lost Temple a co-op game or a competitive one?
It is both. Opening the gates is shared work, because any player's block counts and an opened gate stays open for all. The result is competitive: only the explorer who returns the idol to the entrance wins the match.
Can I get stuck by pushing a block the wrong way?
No. Each block sits in a one-square-wide alcove with its plate at the far end, so it can only be pushed toward the plate. There are no corners to trap a block in and no need for an undo or restart button.
How many chambers are in a temple?
Each match generates a temple of three, four or five chambers in a row. All but the last contain a block puzzle with one or two plates, and the last one contains the idol with nothing left to solve.
What happens if nobody brings the idol back in time?
The round stops after two and a half minutes. A player carrying the idol is placed first, ranked by how close they are to the entrance. Otherwise the ranking is based on plates each player solved personally and how far they advanced.
Is this like a classic warehouse box-pushing puzzle?
The pushing mechanic is the same idea, but the puzzles are much simpler and quicker. The challenge comes from racing other people through a shared map in real time, not from working out a long sequence of moves alone.
How many players do I need for Lost Temple?
Lost Temple supports 2 to 4 players. If a full table of real people isn't ready when you queue, MultiplayerHub fills the empty seats with bots instantly so the match starts without waiting.
Do I need to download anything or sign up to play Lost Temple?
No. Lost Temple runs entirely in your browser tab β no app install, no account, no email required. Pick a name and you're matched within seconds.
Is Lost Temple really free?
Yes, no catch β Lost Temple is ad-supported rather than pay-to-play, so there is no subscription or in-game purchase to unlock anything.
