About Roulette

Roulette is one of the oldest casino games still played, built around a numbered wheel that took its modern form in France. The European wheel used here has 37 pockets, numbered 1 to 36 in red and black plus a single green zero. That one zero is what gives the house its edge, and it is kinder to players than the American wheel, which adds a double zero.

This version turns the game into a match with a result. Every seat bets at the same time during a 12 second window, the wheel spins, and wins are paid before the next round opens. You can bet straight up on any single number for 35 to 1, on red or black or on odd or even for even money, and on a dozen (1-12, 13-24 or 25-36) for 2 to 1. Splits, streets, corners and column bets are left out to keep the layout quick to read.

How to play Roulette

The objective is to have more play chips than everyone else after eight spins. All players start with 300 chips.
When betting opens you have about 12 seconds. Choose a chip value, then tap a number or an outside bet to place it. You can place several bets in one round.
A straight-up bet on a single number from 0 to 36 pays 35 to 1.
Red or black and odd or even pay 1 to 1. A dozen bet on 1-12, 13-24 or 25-36 pays 2 to 1.
If the ball lands on zero, all colour, odd or even and dozen bets lose. Only a straight-up bet on 0 wins.
Use Clear bets to remove your chips before betting closes. You can never stake more than the chips you hold.
The wheel spins, winning bets are paid, and the next round begins. After the eighth spin the largest stack wins, and equal stacks tie.

Roulette tips and strategy

Treat it as an eight spin race, not an endless session. If you lead late, small even-money bets protect the lead; if you trail in the final spins, only dozens or single numbers can catch up.
Mix coverage. A dozen plus a colour bet wins something on most spins, which keeps your stack steady while rivals swing wildly on single numbers.
Remember the zero. No pattern of outside bets covers it, so every spin has a small chance of sweeping the outside bets of the whole table.
Do not chase losses by doubling every time. With only 300 chips and eight spins, a short losing run on a doubling plan can empty your stack before the match ends.
Watch the other stacks before the last spin. You only need to finish ahead, so size your final bet to the gap rather than going all in out of habit.
