About Farmstead
Most farm sims ask you to log in every day for months. Farmstead is the opposite: a whole season lasts about two and a half minutes, and everyone at the table is trying to finish it richer than you. Farmstead is an original game made for this site, so if you arrived looking for a multiplayer farming game you can finish in a coffee break, this is the idea behind it.
Each player gets a private 4 by 5 grid and 40 coins. Three crops are on offer. Lettuce costs 8, grows in roughly 8 seconds and sells for around 15. Wheat costs 25, takes 20 seconds and sells for about 60. Pumpkins cost 60, need 45 seconds and bring in close to 170. Watering a growing plot cuts 12 percent off its growing time, with a four second wait before that plot can be watered again.
The twist is the market. Every crop has its own price that drifts during the match and drops 8 percent each time anybody harvests that crop, then recovers slowly. Flooding the market with one vegetable hurts your own payout, so reading prices matters as much as fast tapping. It suits players who like light economy games, quick decisions and a clear scoreboard, and it works well on a phone because everything is a tap.
How to play Farmstead
- The goal is to finish the season with the highest net worth, which is your cash plus the value of the crops still growing on your plots.
- You start with 40 coins and an empty field of 20 plots. Pick a seed from the seed bar, then tap an empty plot to plant it.
- Lettuce is cheap and quick, wheat sits in the middle, and pumpkins are expensive and slow but pay the most per plot.
- Crops grow on their own. Tap the water button on a growing plot to shave 12 percent off its growing time, then wait four seconds before watering that plot again.
- When a plot glows, tap Harvest to sell the crop at the current market price. The plot is free to replant straight away.
- Watch the price of each crop. It moves during the match and falls 8 percent with every harvest of that crop before climbing back.
- A standard season runs 150 seconds, and the host of a private room can change the length. When the clock stops, the richest farmer wins, and equal totals share a draw.

Farmstead tips and strategy
- Open with lettuce. Forty coins buys five heads, and two or three quick lettuce cycles give you the cash to move into wheat and pumpkins while slower players are still waiting.
- Stop planting pumpkins in the last 45 seconds unless you plan to water them hard. A late pumpkin that is not ready is a much weaker bet than a wheat crop you actually sell.
- Spread your harvests across crops. Selling six of the same vegetable back to back knocks its price down sharply, while alternating crops keeps each sale near full value.
- Spend your watering taps on pumpkins and wheat. Twelve percent of a 45 second crop saves over five seconds, while the same tap on lettuce saves about one.
- Never leave a plot empty. An unused square earns nothing, so replant in the same motion as you harvest.

Each harvest of a crop lowers its market price by 8 percent, and the price then recovers over the following seconds. Prices also wobble a little on their own, staying between 40 and 170 percent of the normal value.
Do crops that are still growing count at the end?
Yes. The final ranking uses net worth, which adds the value of everything still planted to your cash. Harvested cash is still the safer result, so try to time your last crops to finish before the clock.
Do I have to water my crops?
No. Crops grow to full size without any help. Watering is an optional boost that removes 12 percent of the growing time per tap, with a four second cooldown on each plot.
